What I wore: Topshop Jeans and Denim Shirt, Mango Heels, Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag, American Eagle Necklace, Nasty Gal and CC Skye Bracelets
Last weekend I wore the Canadian Tuxedo. I stumbled across this nickname for denim-on-denim outfits on some blogs now and just love it. I combined mine with one of my oldest bags and big shades to cover up the night before.
On another note, I love nothing more than small cross-body bags, but I seldom have the chance to wear them, since in my everyday life I need more of an Olsen-sized bag.
But I always wear them after my exams, since I can't be bothered anymore with huge bags filled with books, so they have a special place in my heart, since they are the sign that exams are over.
What I wore: H&M Skirt, Vince T-Shirt, Pour la Victoire Pumps, Balenciaga Clutch, Asos Earcuff, Cast of Vices and CC Skye Bracelets, American Eagle Necklace
I wore this outfit last week to one of my best friend's birthday parties, I really had no idea what to wear, so I threw on this look, which is one of my fail-safe combinations. Leather skirt + tee + some heels always works, no matter where you are going.
On another note, tonight is the Life Ball in Vienna, it is a huge party and at the same time a fundraiser for Aids research. A lot of celebrities come every year to show their support. This year the theme is 1001 nights and the fashion show is by Roberto Cavalli.
If you want to know more about it and see the party from behind the scenes, follow me on Instagram (@thestyledepartment) and I will keep you updated all night!
What I wore: Zara Skort, Topshop Sweater and Necklace, Asos Heels and Rings, Louis Vuitton Bag, Karen Walker Sunglasses
I love these days in spring, when you can smell the flowers blooming and the nights are getting warmer. I really enjoy mixing pieces from different seasons during this time of the year, like this look: the shorts are already a summer piece, but to keep warm when the weather changes, I threw on this chunky knit.
I always go through phases with my style, like the whole black and white thing a few weeks ago and now all white, or white with neutral colors seems to be my go-to choice. I just love the freshness and purity of white, don't you?
Another take on the white trend. I used to wear all-white outfits before this trend emerged, but for some reason I didn't think further than white jeans with a white blouse. Therefore it is very interesting to me, with how many white outfits I can come up with.. I will keep you posted;)

My love for this electric blue color still isn't fading, so here I am wearing it again in form of the omnipresent Zara skort. Are you already getting sick of seeing it on every blog? I kind of was so I went for the blue color, instead of white, but after getting it and wearing it for three days straight, I caved and also got the even more ubiquitous white version too. Well what can I say, I love me some Zara;)
What I wore: Zara Dress, Isabel Marant Ankle Boots, Asos Ear Cuff, Topshop Coat, Nasty Gal Oversized Clutch,
Cheap Monday Cuff, Rebecca Minkoff Bracelet, Topshop Rings
Well, not really. But in light of yesterday's Met Gala, I want to share with you this look, that is somewhat punk-inspired.
To be honest, it mostly goes back to the ear cuff!
Still, I love those little things that can transform an outfit into something slightly different and give your whole look an edge.
Case in point, this outfit: simple black dress with boots, but because of the ear cuff the studs on the ankle boots become much more visible and to let the cuff stand out, I had to tuck my hair back - so the side swept hair-do adds another layer of interest to the whole look.
Now to the Met Gala: Who was your favorite? For me it was Sienna Miller, she looked like the cool girl everyone wants to be!
We actually shot these pictures about a month ago, but I never got around to posting them.
I love the whole sixties vibe from the dress and boots, so I decided to add to it with my make-up and hair. To be honest, it was a little difficult for me, because I am not really that great with putting on a full face of make up.. I am the one, those cat-eye tutorials are made for and I still struggle with it;)
Well, I still love the outcome of the pictures, so I am happy to be finally sharing them with you!
Happy Monday! ♥
