Off to New York

Actually I am already in New York, but I totally forgot to publish the draft for this post in the morning. I don't know how often I will be able to update the blog while I am in the US, so for more frequent updates follow my Instagram here. 

I love those shorts, another great purchase I made this season. I am trying to incorporate more and more things into my wardrobe that are wearable and I can at least think of five different ways to combine it with something already in my closet. I am working towards a more edited wardrobe, because I can't stand it to look at a full closet each morning and still having nothing to wear. What are your tricks to avoid buyer's remorse?

Dubai Day 2 - Stripes and Leather

My outfit from today in Dubai, I love the new leather shorts I bought at Topshop, where else?;) 
I paired them with a striped top, Alexander Wang cape heels and undone hair for a more relaxed look.

Casual Shorts

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and enjoying themselves:)

I wore this look last week. I just love to wear shorts in the colder months, I know it isn't exactly practical, but since the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, I tend to want to wear summer clothes in the colder months and vice versa. 

That's why I love the end of summer/beginning of fall so much, since you can wear the best of both worlds.

Santorini Day 1

Good morning guys, I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am off to the library, since I have an exam on Tuesday.. I really hope you are spending you Sunday a little better than I do... I love spending rainy Sundays in bed, but what can you do :) 

These pictures are from the first day spent in Santorini, we arrived rather early with the ferry and just relaxed by the pool and had some nice lunch. These pictures were taken on our little balcony, which had an amazing view, overlooking the hotel's own vineyards, it was just so picturesque how I always imagined Santorini to be:) 

I went for a laid back look, combining one of my favorite pair of shorts with a lace shirt I bought in Zurich. 

The sunglasses I am wearing were a gift from Firmoo.com who asked me to write a review about them. To be honest, since my head is on the smaller size, they were a little bit too small for me, but I really like the design. It is always hard to find optical sunglasses (mine aren't, but they do sell them  as well on their site), although I don't need glasses, I see how my mom struggles to find a nice pair of optical sunglasses. That's also why I agreed on partnering with the site, since I think it should be known that there is a place out there, that does sell optical sunglasses that look good:) 

All in all, they are good quality sunglasses, that really shield your eyes from the sun.. tested it in Santorini, staring into the sun for about half a minute;)

Istanbul Day 2: Ortaköy and Bebek

 Good morning lovely readers, first of all thank you for being 300+ followers:) I am really excited every time my follower count goes over another 100:))
These are pictures from my second day in Istanbul, first of lunch at a waterfront restaurant in Bebek, I forgot the name, but I will update as soon as I know it. Then we went to Ortaköy checking out the little jewelry shops, which are definitely worth a visit, if you go upstairs some even make custom jewelry just for you.. that's why I can only show you my new purchases tomorrow.. After that we went to Istinye Park, which is a big mall that has everything form Hermes to Zara. On our way home we saw the most adorable little cat, I just had to put it up on the blog as well:)

Flower Crown

This look is from last Friday, before meeting my girls for drinks and going out. I was at home, standing in front of the mirror in my shorts and t-shirt and thought something was missing, so I decided it was time to wear my flower headband, like I did here.
I really love it, and I got a lot of funny reactions in the club, a few asking if I was getting married;)

Now I am off to run some last minute errands and pack for my trip to Istanbul! I am so excited, I am definitely going to keep you updated via my Instagram (@thestyledepartment) and of course on the blog as well:)

Lazy Sunday

Good morning!:)
This is what I wore yesterday, for a lazy Sunday at my grandparent's house. I was ready to just sleep in the sun, but as we arrived it started raining. I still had a great time and got the opportunity to take pictures, when it stopped pouring down for a few minutes.
